NEC MD Series Digital Greyscale Display Systems - Display Systems for Primary Diagnostics of Medical Images

The NEC MD213MG (L218TL) is a flat panel display systems for the viewing of greyscale digital images for diagnosis by trained physicians. Applications include diagnostics image reporting in radiography as well as CT, MRI and other medical imaging techniques.

It has a 21.3" (3 MP image resolution: 2048 x 1536 pixels in portrait orientation) and a unique front sensor system for long lasting stable white point. The displays are individually factory calibrated with the DICOM gamma correction curve, have precise DICOM GSDF calibration using an internal 13.5-bit look-up table and are GammaCompMD Client Software compatible

Please note To guarantee the display performance as specified, an MD213MG display must only be used in conjunction with NEC approved display controller boards.
  • 3 MP 21.3” greyscale display system for primary diagnostics of medical images

  • 21.3" (3 MP image resolution: 2048 x 1536 pixels)

  • X-Light® Backlight System
X-Light® technology further improves stable and reliable imaging. A predefined and calibrated colour tint is continuously controlled and re-aligned in parallel with the brightness level. Multiple head display systems can be easily matched at the installation site.

  • DICOM (Part 14 Grayscale Display Function)
Based on the human contrast sensitivity (CS), this function makes it easier to see small relative changes in luminance in the bright areas of the image than in the dark areas. Some level of similarity in Grayscale perception or basic appearance for a given image between Display Systems of different Luminance is also assured. The Luminance difference that the average human observer can just perceive is known as a Just Noticeable Difference (JND). The JND Index is the input value to the GSDF, such that one step in JND Index results in a luminance difference that is a JND.

  • Individual factory calibrated DICOM gamma correction curve

  • Precise DICOM GSDF Calibration using internal 10-bit look-up tables

  • GammaCompMD Client QA Software
