The length (18cm) refers to the internal blind hole into which the microphone is pushed. It is important that the Softie front portion covers all the slots along the length of the microphone to ensure good windshielding.

This Softie is suitable for microphones with a diameter of 21/22mm.

Softie

• The Softie fur is specially made and has been extensively tested to provide maximum wind protection, with minimum high frequency attenuation. The fur strands have a maximum length of 30 mm, which gives up to 25dB of wind noise reduction.

Lyre Mount

• The enhanced "Lyre" suspensions webs replaced the original silicone O-rings suspension in September 2008. The Lyres are completely backward compatible with previous designs of Modular Suspensions. The patented lyres use no elastic or rubber components, and offer high isolation against handling noise, from the handle or boom.
