The AW-HE50S with HD/SD-SDI and component outputs plus genlock, features a sleek, compact design that combines outstanding image quality, smooth pan/tilt/zoom operation and easy integration for superior HD and SD production and video communications.

The camera utilizes full HD MOS sensors (effective resolution 1920 x1080), along with Panasonic's exclusive Dynamic Range Stretch (DRS) technology and Hybrid 2D/3D Noise Reduction processing, to produce smooth, sharp HD video with up to 850 lines of horizontal resolution in a wide range of lighting conditions and environments. Equipped with both IP and RS-422 serial control interfaces built-in, the HE50S is a great choice for multi-camera systems and demanding applications such as television and cable production, sports video, A/V and conference facilities, houses of worship, and professional staging applications.

Panasonic's exclusive DRS function enables the HS50S to perform multi-zone digital image processing over a wide dynamic range for exceptional results in difficult, high contrast shooting conditions. Highlight over-saturation and blocking in dark areas are reduced for more detailed imaging through the application of real-time gamma and knee correction. The camera's innovative Hybrid Noise Reduction function reduces video grain and blur without appreciable image latency or loss of resolution, by intelligently combining 3D and 2D noise reduction algorithms. A new "Flesh Tone" function also enables consistently accurate yet pleasing reproduction of live subjects.

The camera also incorporates a smooth and highly-accurate pan-tilt head that offers precise, fast, fluid movement in all directions, thereby enabling the capture of both slow and fast-moving objects without the excessive vibration and "bounce" previously associated with small pan-tilt cameras.
