The Swit S-8972 is an intelligent Li-ion battery with multiple protective circuit design and is compatible with Sony L series PD150, DSR-PD175P, DSR-PD190P and SONY HVR-V1E cameras but with the addition of a 7.2V DC output socket.

As an updated product of the Swit S-8970, the S-8972 has an additional LED four-level remaining power indicator and a 7.2V DC output socket so that both the camera and lighting can be powered simultaneously.
